Healthy Hips 2-Hour Workshop
Tight hips are a common problem for almost everyone today. Whether you are a runner, cyclist, yogi or are spending most of your time sitting at your desk, if you’re feeling upper thigh or groin pain when you lift your leg, knee pain, low back pain, lack of flexibility, pain when you stand up or even headaches, these could all be signs of tight hips. Why not give your hips a little extra love with this workshop?
The 2-hour Healthy Hips Workshop is a combination of yoga poses and hip opening poses to help open those hips and begin the path to greater hip flexibility and reduced hip pain. After a short introduction, we will talk about some of the poses we will be doing, and how they will benefit your hips. Then we will start the workshop with a short warmup to get the blood flowing.
 Next, we will transition into poses focusing on hip flexibility, ending with discussion on how the poses worked for you and answering any questions. Once we’re finished with these poses, we will then pair up and work on poses with a partner. We’ll continue working on individual and partner poses for the remainder of the workshop. Throughout the workshop, we will hold our poses for 2-3 minutes each for maximum benefit. We’ll end the day talking about how you can incorporate the workshop into your own practice.
